About
Hi, I'm a registered gut health nutritionist. When life is dominated by digestive issues, I help adults calm the anxiety, escape the bathroom and enjoy food again!
As a hospital nurse in my 20s, I saw first-hand how distressing it is when the body goes wrong. Then ten years later my own health problems started which meant going to work, socialising, and even just leaving the house revolved around whether my symptoms were good or bad that day. I was told there’s no known cure and that I’d need medication for life. Refusing to accept this and determined to find a dietary and lifestyle solution, I successfully turned my own health around and am now both symptom and medication-free.
I left the hospital wards to spend the next three years studying Biomedicine and Nutrition, graduating with distinction. In the years since, I’ve studied IBS with MONASH university, undertaken pharmacology training on medication-supplement interaction, I’m an accredited acid reflux practitioner, and I complete hundreds of hours of gut health CPD annually.
My busy nutrition clinic is in the centre of Salisbury but I also work with clients online. As I’m a Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated phlebotomist as well as a nutritionist, clients who come to see me in clinic have the option of a private blood test to provide even more insight into their health issues.
Years of healthcare experience have taught me that to tame an unhappy gut you need the right knowledge and professional support. My clients see results because I take time to understand the root cause of what has brought each individual person to the point they’re at today. It’s important to me that my core values of professionalism, compassion and practicality shape every client’s experience.
When not in clinic or with my head buried in the latest nutrition research, you’ll find me either surrounded by animals, spending an unhealthy amount of time binge-watching Netflix, or else being spectacularly ungraceful in a barre class.
